17th Edition Courses
Professional training and qualifications for the electrical industry
It is a legal requirement for anyone working in the electricity industry working on jobs which fall under the regulations of the IET 17th Edition Wiring Regulations to hold a relevant, proven qualification that allows them to complete the work to the correct standards.
This applies whether you are brand new to the industry and if you’re already an existing electrician.
The main course you will need to take is the City and Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition course. This is the current standard course for the entire industry, incorporating the changes made under Amendment 3 of the Wiring Regulations (2015). As changes have been made, even those with an existing 17th edition qualification must retake the course to learn about the changes brought by Amendment 3.
We offer the 17th edition 2382-15 both at nationwide training venues or optionally as an online course. The online route is ideal for taking the course from your own work premises or home and is identical to the course we teach in our classrooms. Those who choose the online course will need to also complete an exam at a venue (the cost of which is included in the price).
Note: you should be aware that the old 2382-12 course (the former industry standard 17th edition course) has now been phased out and replaced by the 2382-15 course.
