Anyone working within the electrical sector should have sound, working knowledge of the IET’s 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. At Electrical Training Course, we run regular training courses for the City and Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition Birmingham.

The Birmingham 18th edition course is taught by experienced, professional tutors and is City and Guilds accredited.

During the course, you will learn about each section of the IET Wiring Regulations, complete with full guidance from our tutors to help you prepare for the online exam taken at the end of the course.

New Amendment 2022
This latest amendment, 18th Edition Amendment 2, was published on the 28th of March 2022 and introduces a new requirement for Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs), updated requirements for the fire safety design for buildings and a new chapter on Prosumer’s Low Voltage Electrical Installations. Any previous qualifications that you hold will become superseded by this qualification.

It is recommended that candidates have a copy of the IET Wiring Regulations. The most up-to-date version of Regulations is a book with a brown cover.
You can purchase a copy of the book from our test equipment website, Tester.co.uk.

Note: If you have an existing 17th edition qualification, starting from Jan 2019 you will need to attend an 18th Edition course to ensure that you are up to date with the latest regulations and standards.

The City & Guilds 2382-22 training officially replaces the older 2382-12 and from July 2018 will also replace the 2382-15 and 2383-18 courses.
