The City and Guilds accredited, the 2382-22 18th edition course in Derbyshire trains you to the latest standards outlined in the IET Wiring Regulations.
Anyone involved with wiring installations, commissioning and other jobs around domestic and commercial properties must be certified to carry out work in accordance with the Wiring Regulations. This course gives you a fully accredited certificate to show that you are qualified to carry out work to 18th Edition standards.
This course is up-to-date with the new Amendment 2, to BS 7671:2018 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations which was released 28th March 2022.
What Are the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations?
Regularly revised and published by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (the IET), the Wiring Regulations are the industry standard regulations for completing electrical work in the UK.
We recommend that all learners attending the 18th edition course Derbyshire purchase a copy of the book and bring it with them to the course for reference.

Assessment: Candidates will be expected to complete a two hour examination after the third day of the course.
Recommended Reading: Attendees should own a copy of the current BS7671:2018+A2:2022 18th Edition Amendment 2 of the IET Wiring Regulations (brown) book and bring it with them.

Suitability
Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course, the 2382-22 18th edition course is primarily aimed at practising electricians, surveyors, consultants and anyone else involved with any work that falls under the scope of the IET Wiring Regulations.
This course is suitable for beginners, although an interest and basic understanding of the principles of electricity will be beneficial.
Those with a 17th edition qualification will also need to attend this course to ensure they are working to the new 18th Edition standards.
