Course Overview
This essential training course will teach you the fundamental requirements of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
The City & Guilds 18th Edition course will teach you the fundamentals of the IET wiring regulations, making sure that you are fully compliant and working with an up to date qualification.
This is a classroom-based training course with no practical elements; you will focus on learning and understanding the requirements of the regulations in the classroom and then be expected to take a multiple-choice examination at the end of the classroom sessions.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; both new and existing electricians (or aspiring electricians) from the Hull area who are not yet qualified to the IET Wiring Regulations 18th edition should take this training course.

About the Course
This 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course is a City & Guilds accredited course and follows the Syllabus set out by City & Guilds.
Please note: you will require a copy of the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations book for this 18th edition course (Available from July 2018).

Certification Gained: City & Guilds 2382-18 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018 (2018)
Assessment: When you’ve completed the classroom sessions, you’ll be required to sit a 2hr multiple-choice exam.
You’ll be able to use an IET Wiring Regulations book during the exam, although it has to be a clean copy (if your book has notes writing inside, you will be given the opportunity to lend a book for the exam).

Suitability
There are no requirements for this course; all are eligible, as long as you don’t already hold the 2382-18 qualification.
A working knowledge of electricity and wiring is beneficial, but not essential.

The course focuses on the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018). You should have a copy of this book and bring it with you to the course.
