City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition Course (Update) - Bradford

18th Edition Update Course

This one day course is for anyone working in the electrical industry.

It is intended to ensure that you are working to the latest wiring regulations, and will give you a good working knowledge of the BS7671:2018 IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. This course, which is held in Bradford, includes the City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition exam.

The Update course is only available to those who have recently completed the 17th Edition 2382-15 Wiring Regulations including Amendment 3. Proof of qualification will be required before you can take this course. If you have not taken this exam then you will have to enrol on to the Full 18th Edition 3 day course which is also held at Bradford and various other locations across the UK.

The 2382-18 course replaces all previous editions of the Wiring Regulation courses.

Course Duration: 1 Day

Location: Premier Meetings Bradford South, Dyehouse Drive, Cleckheaton, Bradford, BD19 6HG

Certification Gained: City & Guilds 2382-18 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018 (2018)

Assessment: Candidates will be expected to complete a two-hour, 60 question examination at the end of the course.

Recommended Reading:  Attendees should own a copy of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations  (Blue Book).

This Classroom based course does not include any practical work.

• Earthing arrangements and protective conductors
• Onshore units of electrical shore connections for inland navigation

Suitability

You can only take this course if you have recently taken the 17th Edition with Amendment 3 City & Guilds course and examination. Proof of qualification will be needed before you can take this 1-day Update version of the 18th Edition course.

Progression & Development

On successful completion of this course, you are able to go on and progress further to more advanced electrical courses, such as Periodic inspection and Testing courses, Part P, and other  building and electrical qualifications.

You are required to bring with you a copy of the  IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018). This is available from July 2018 upon release of the 18th Edition Witing regulations.
