Course Outline

The foundation course is aimed at those who are new to thermal imaging, or those wishing to take the first steps towards becoming a professionally qualified thermographer, and is suitable for those looking to get involved in any of the following TI application areas:

  • Building Thermography
  • HVAC and Plumbing Inspection

In order to carry out a thermal imaging survey correctly, you need to understand how a TI camera works, what settings you need to change to get accurate readings, what materials you should avoid and how to select the best point for measurement. Following that, knowing how to interpret thermal images and put together a meaningful and accurate report is key.

This one-day ITC foundation course will give you the knowledge you need. We look at thermal pattern analysis in order to determine the cause of faults and also include practical labs, using real-world scenarios, so you can put your knowledge into practice. At the end of the course, you will be given an example of a bad report and will use your knowledge to spot the errors.
