Electric Shock Kills Worker in M&S
A man working in a Marks and Spencer staff area was this weekend found dead from what is believed to be an electric shock.
The man has been named as 62 year old Philip Dodd and police have said that his death was work-related and unexplained.
The Health and Safety office from the county council and the Police department are currently investigating the incident.
The exact cause of death will be discovered via a post mortem examination to be carried out later in the week.
The M and S store did not need to be evacuated and Mr Dodd was the only casualty.
The ambulance and air ambulance teams pronounced Mr Dodd dead at the scene and called the police force. Initial indications suggest that it was an electric shock which killed Mr Dodd.
The store themselves indicated that they are currently helping with the Police investigation however, the exact nature of the accident won’t be known until the investigation and post mortem have been completed.
