The City & Guilds 2377-77 In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment training course, also known more commonly as PAT Testing, will teach you the theoretical background behind PAT Testing and also give you some time to carry out some practical work.

This course is a great starting point for anyone who wants to get started in PAT Testing and who is based in or around Surrey.

Assessment: The course includes a 1 hour 45 minute, open-book City & Guilds 2377-77 In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment examination.

Suitability

City & Guilds does not set entry requirements for this qualification. However, candidates attempting the qualification are expected to be familiar with electrical systems and the hazards of electricity to satisfactorily complete the qualification.

It would also be beneficial to complete our 1 x day PAT Competence Course prior to the 2377-77

We recommend 2377-77 learners have the following:

• An understanding of electrics/electrical background
• An understanding of OHMs law
• Basic maths skills
• A knowledge of PAT testing

Learners are required to be familiar with and bring to the course a copy of the IET Code of Practice (5th Edition).
